The Marina Villa Hotel makes an exceptional venue for any kind of event, from relaxed birthdays and barbecues to formal canapé parties and important business functions. Shooting Days
We arrange fully escorted shooting days at two impressive locations: Caerhays Castle, nearby on the south coast, for excellent high birds, and Pawton Manor near Wadebridge for partridge. Our guests receive preferential rates at both venues. Whichever you choose, we guarantee a great day’s sport for both the novice and the experienced. The fun doesn’t end when you return to the hotel; we will happily arrange a special post-shoot dinner for you and your party, with a celebratory menu of game-based dishes.

Fishing, Sea Trips and Yacht Hire
A trip to Fowey would not seem complete without a foray onto the water. To make full use of our ideal location, we can organise river or sea fishing. During the autumn and winter, many nearby rivers are brimming with salmon, while the summer brings a glut of sea trout. A day spent fly fishing in the area is the ultimate in relaxation and many of our guests return year after year to make full use of the opportunities here.

Chartering a yacht for the day will give you a taste of what Fowey is all about. Sailing upriver, you’ll pass ancient, picturesque villages like Bodinnick and Polruan, while venturing out to sea offers breathtaking views up and down the coast. We can organise everything for you to create a magical day on the water.

Events for Business
Conferences need not be conducted in dull, stuffy corporate spaces. At the Marine Villa, we can host your business events, from product launches and client entertainment to regular meetings, in a far more conducive environment.

Hire the Hotel
Outside of the summer season, the Marina Villa plays host to some of the most exciting ‘house parties’ guests have ever been invited to. Hiring the whole hotel for a few days gives you and your family and friends a truly decadent break from the norm. This is a bespoke holiday at its most fun; we will develop menus just for you and arrange all manner of activities from shooting to sailing, making your stay feel utterly indulgent. If your occasion requires a formal ambience, we will create the feel with exquisitely presented food and service, leaving a lasting impression on your guests. If relaxed and laid back is more to your taste, the Waterfront Restaurant and its terrace are perfect for more informal evenings.

Head chef Nathan Outlaw will work with you to provide a menu that really stands out, whatever style you choose, from canapés to a full banquet.
