The SES is especially interested in scientific research, conservation, education, community and medical aid. Combining both science and adventure it is one of the leading proponents of innovative expeditions. From these have arisen a number of community projects. Above all it is a friendly, informal Society of like-minded people. The British-based Scientific Exploration Society (SES) was founded in 1969 by John Blashford-Snell and colleagues after the successful Blue Nile Expedition to Ethiopia. Jump Media were commissioned to totally rebuild the SES website to provide a web presence fitting an internationally renowned organisation. The site complete with a full content management system presents the work of the SES in an exciting and informative manner with many educational and press resources. Our overall aim was to create a website which would capture the imagination of all visitors and that was evocative of the amazing work undertaken by the society.
