About Cornwall Water Ski

Welcome to the only club that operates inland in the Westcountry.

We are very fortunate in having access to flat water whatever the conditions, as we are based in an ex-china clay quarry with great wind protection. We also have a 6 buoy slalom course and a tournament boat with perfect pass.

We opened in June 2001 and run from April 1st to end November each year. We are a small privately run, friendly and informal club but are fully affiliated to British Water-Ski and have three qualified drivers and instructors on site.

We use a Malibu Response LX boat. You have the option of using the boom attached to the boat, which is a great help for total beginners, or the rope method which you can transfer to once the technique is mastered on the boom. With total beginners we recommend a double session as that is what most people need to get up and skiing for the first time without the stress of feeling rushed.

Memberships available, non members welcome

Please do bring a picnic lunch or barbecue if you want to spend the day at the lake as we do not have a club house or cafeteria on site.
Water temperature varies from 9c during March to 20c during July/August.
